NECA’s released its first images of their Classic Planet of the Apes figures. Series 1 will include Cornelius, Dr. Zaius, and a Gorilla Soldier army builder. Each figure will be in seven inch scale and come with appropriate accessories (Hello futuristic gorilla rifles!).
These figures are slated to hit stores sometime in July. For more great diorama pictures, check out NECA’s blog.
PotA is one of my all time favorite film series. I’ve been following the development of these figures, and the painted products look great. I’m running out of room and stretching my toy budget thin these days, but this is a line I’ll definitely be looking to pick up.

What the heck is going on with the spam all of a sudden?!
Anyway, love these Apes, but a. I’ll never see them in a store and b. I assume these are gonna be 20 bones each. Geeze, I can’t pony up twenty bucks a shot, this is getting crazy. We’re REALLY living in a world where a small hunk of plastic is Twenty Dollars?
*sigh* But man, the likeness are so good. Might they do swappable heads for the BTPOTA Mutants?
The soldiers are very cool. I have no interest in POTA but even I am tempted to get them.
