You’ll have to head over to ToyArk for pics on this one, but I wanted to put up quick post on the new Ghostbusters figures revealed by Diamond Select!
Back at Toy Fair, DST surprised everyone with the first wave of figures (including Winston Zeddemore, Ray Stantz, and Louis as the Keymaster). At that time, they said there would be 12 figures and a collect & connect playset of Spook Central’s roof (55 Central Park West, to be more precise). At SDCC, DST revealed seven more figures. I’m not totally in love with all of them, I’m only guessing that one is Dana Barrett, but we’re so far past Mattel at this point that it’s crazy. I think I’m strangely most excited about finally getting a Janine Melnitz.
Here’s the full list so far:

- Louis (Possessed)
- Dana (Possessed)

- Janine Melnitz
- Peter Venkman
- Walter Peck
- Terror Dog
- Slimer
Assusming Slimer is his own release, and that we know Egon Spengler will be included, that leaves just one figure to round out DST’s 12. Who fills that spot? Mayor Lenny? Another ghost? I doubt we see regular versions of Louis or Dana (or the Mayor, really). My money is on a a second terror dog. You would need two for the playset, but let’s hope for something cool.
Well the terror dog comes with alternate horns to make the second one so I think its a different figure for the 12th spot. The likeness are slightly off for most of the figures, except Ray which is kinda the opposite of the Mattel line. But I’ll be purchasing these for sure.
not a fan of Janine’s look (it makes her look like Roseanne with Jackie’s head), but after THIRTY PLUS YEARS, WE’RE FINALLY GETTING A MOVIE JANINE!!!!

love that Slimer is getting THREE alt heads! LOL sure,it’s partly to make up for the fact he’s barely half the plastic that the others are, but it is MUCH appreciated!
