10/01/09 - Mattel is considering adding proton streams for the figures.

10/01/09 - Mattel has the rights to all major and many minor Ghostbusters characters, including Louis Tully.

9/15/09 - A standard (clean) Egon is in the cards down the road, but not soon. A Slimer might be reissued, but it would be with new tooling or another difference to distinguish between releases.

08/16/09 - At the convention the 12" Ray's slide slated him for August while Egon's package slated 12" Ray for September Per Mattel's Facebook page, 12" Ray will now be released the same day as the 6" Ray: October 15h.

7/24/09 - Mattel is working on Real Ghostbusters versions of the main characters.

7/24/09 - Mattel is looking into other scales that would allow for playsets/vehicles. A third film makes that more likely.

7/01/09 - The 6" Four Horsemen sculpted figures are priced at $20. The 12" Mattel in-house
sculpted figures are expected to be priced at $60.

7/01/09 - The 6" figures will be similar in articulation to DCUC and MOTUC figures and feature character specific accessories and pack-in items.

7/01/09 - The 12" figures will feature a new advancement in shoulder articulation and will include light-up accessories and an opening trap.

7/01/09 - The first figure, Slimed Egon, will be released first at SDCC (July 23rd-26th) and released only on Mattycollector.com on August 3rd. Egon was chosen because
Harold Ramis was the first actor to approve his likeness. The translucent Slimer figure is listed on Matty as"available nowhere else".

7/01/09 - Mattel would "love" to do supporting figures of Dana, Louis Tully, Walter Peck, and even the Mayor of New York.
Curiously, Janine has not been mentioned, but one would guess that she's been discussed as well.

7/01/09 - All ghosts from the movie are being considered as pack-ins including the library
ghost, the logo ghost, the taxi ghost, and possibly a scaled down Stay-Puft. Video
games are also being considered as pack-ins.
