Mezco Announces One:12
6″ Line w/ DKR Batman!

New York- (July 22nd, 2014)- Mezco Toyz today announced The One:12 Collective, a new line of high end 6″ scale collectable figures.

Redesigning the 6″ scale figure category by combining posable action figures with real cloth outfitting, in a similar fashion to the 1/6th scale and larger collectables. Mezco’s One:12 Collective line will present a multitude of different characters from numerous brands.

Combining superior sculpting with an abundance of articulation, the One:12 Collective figures feature over 32 points of articulation, capable of over 40,000 possible poses: combining form and function to create a remarkably realistic aesthetic. Digitally sculpted by the industry’s finest artists and painstakingly engineered by Mezco’s production team is a state of the art collectable that holds up to real play.

The costuming is meticulously tailored and uses specially selected materials to create the highest standard of outfitting and drapery at the 6″ scale. Fabrication, color, drapery, comparative scale and mobility are all closely considered to bring the finest attire achievable

Every One:12 Collective figure will include a display base as well as a multitude of accessories. These accessories are designed to have a “real world” look to further make the figure seem like it has truly come to life. These accessories, also precisely crafted, range from changeable parts to character specific weapons, equipment and props.

Currently planned for the One:12 Collective are characters from The DC Universe, Judge Dredd, Classic Universal Monsters, and some other surprises to be announced in the future.

Mezco President, Mez Markowitz declared “We are all very excited with the One:12 Collective line. I think we are offering a fantastic product that both satisfies the customers desire for articulation as well as the ability to hide it all in a extremely realistic way. Another great aspect to the line is that we are striving to present high quality product that is in line with 1/6th scale (12″ figure) collectables while taking up far less display space and at a much more reasonable price point. Our Dark Knight Returns Batman figure is really a fantastic piece and we cannot wait to show what is up next. Mezco plans on releasing several items a year from this line and it is a long term initiative for our team, really a dream come true for all of us here.”

The One:12 Collective “The Dark Knight Returns” Batman figure is set to be publicly revealed at San Diego Comic Con at Mezco booth # 3445 and shipping to customers in Fall 2014.

  1. I am severely bothered that they don’t mention a MSRP anywhere in this PR piece.

This is really cool. It’s not $100 cool. It’s not $50 cool.

Why play these games? Just tell us the price, huh?

And there better damn well be Robin and Superman.

      1. All honesty, I’m expecting a $49.95 MSRP. It would not shock me if it turned out to be $79.95.

From the sound of the press release I’d bet money they expect to be compared to the Japanese made figures ala Figma, Figuarts, Revoltech and Play Arts Kai. That means hoping to get inflated import prices for domestic product.

Buuut I’m evil so I’m sure my predictions are completely off-base. 🙂

  2. Those figures look incredible! This is also very surprising. I never expected to see Mezco making 6 inch DC figures.

The licensing for the DC line is confusing. NECA can make a 1/4 scale movie accurate ’89 Batman and a 7 inch NES version of the ’89 Batman, but not a 7 inch movie accurate version. Mattel makes some movie accurate figures in 4 inch scale, but no 6 inch figures. As much as I love my 1/4 scale Keaton Batman, and I’m really looking forward to the video game version, I’d really love to have an official release in 6 or 7 inch scale. Until then, I’ll just pay a customizer to fix up my extra video game Batman.

    1. There are different factors at work in your examples. A 1/4 scale Keaton Batman is more a high-end collectable than an ‘action figure’. The NES version skates around the ‘reality of the movie and their licensed toys’ issue. Mattel not making a Keaton Batman in 6 inch is just Mattel being completely stupid, willfully stupid, not a restriction or license issue.

Having a 6 inch Keaton Batman next to Adam West Batman next to Dark Knight Returns Batman would be the most awesome shelf in the universe. Mattel doesn’t want that to happen.

  3. I have to hope these are in the 30-50 range. 100 seems way to high for cloth when the body underneath can be generic. I love love love the way these look and the wiring in the cape is just awesomesauce. At this scale a Battank would not be unrealistic, right?

  4. Definitely something new in this scale, and really very nice when you got to see them at SDCC. I’ll be keeping my eye on these for sure.
